BARI gets new DG

Dr Md Rafiqul Islam Mondal joined the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) as director general (DG) (current charge), said a press release.
Before joining the BARI, Dr Mondal served the SAARC Agriculture Centre as director and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) as member director (fishery).
Dr Mondal started his career as scientific officer in 1980 at BARI and served the institute as senior scientific officer and principal scientific officer until 2007. Then he joined the BARC as chief scientific officer (crops).
He took part in many international seminars, conferences and workshops in the USA, Canada, China, India, Pakistan and Nepal, the release added.
