BARI workshop on postharvest tech, marketing of jackfruit

The Postharvest Technology Division of Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute (BARI) and New Vision Solutions Ltd., Dhaka organised a workshop on 'Postharvest technologies and marketing of jackfruit for income generation to attain food and nutrition security' at the seminar room of BARI on Monday, says a press release.
The programme was funded by Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) under the Postharvest Management, Processing and Marketing of Jackfruits project.
BARI's scientists, officers of KGF and New Vision Solutions participated in the workshop.
BARI Director General Dr Debasish Sarker was present as the chief guest and Executive Director of KGF Dr. Jiban Krishna Biswas as a guest of honour. Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ferdouse Islam presided over the function while Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr Dilwar Ahmed Choudhury and Director (Oilseed Research) Dr Md. Tariqul Islam were present as special guests.
Chief Scientific Officer of Postharvest Technology Division and Project Coordinator Md. Hafizul Haque Khan delivered the welcome address while Senior Scientific Officer of Postharvest Technology Division Dr Md. Golam Ferdous Chowdhury presented the keynote paper.
