Barisal Div trails by 136 runs

Saiful Islam's 7-wicket haul restricted Barisal Division to 93/10 in the first innings against Khulna Division and they trailed by 136 runs on the 2nd day of the 3-day match of Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Competition at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra Wednesday, reports UNB.
On the 2nd day of the match, Khulna Division resumed the first innings with overnight 220 for 5 in 78 overs and eventually scored 276 runs for 8 in stipulated 90 overs. Overnight batsman Ashikur Rahman, who hit a century with 102 runs on the first day, finally scored 114 runs off 218 balls with 13 fours and a six.
Sajal Islam (not out 17), Saiful Islam (11), Minhazul Islam (6) and Alif Akhter (not out 4) were the other scorers for Khulna on the 2nd day.
Mridul and Md Yasin claimed three wickets each for 62 and 78 runs respectively in 29 and 17 overs. Opening the 1st innings, Barisal Division were all out for 93 runs in 55.5 overs with Naimul Islam Shuvo scoring team highest 39 runs. Saiful Islam grabbed 7 wickets for 26 runs in 15.5 overs. Later, Barisal Division opened the 2nd innings as they followed on and scored 47 runs for 3 wickets in 35 overs.
