Barisal Division Association hails PM for Padma Bridge allocation

Barisal Division Association (BDA) has hailed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith for allocating funds for the construction of the Padma Bridge in the national budget for the fiscal year 2014-2015. BDA President Siraj Uddin Ahmed and General Secretary Jiaul Kabir Dulu in a joint statement congratulated Prime Minister and finance minister for allocation of Tk 85 billion for the Padma Bridge. In a statement, they said that this bridge would improve communications between the south and south-east with the rest of the country. The message also appreciated the allocation for the Payra Sea Port, Sher-e-Bangla Naval Base, Payra Bridge, Patuakhali Medical College, Barisal Engineering College and demanded construction of a specialised economic zone in the south and an exclusive tourist zone at Kuakata Sea Beach, according to BSS.
