Barisal take a healthy lead

Barisal Division took a handsome 159-runs lead against Chittagong Division on the second day of the 9th round four-day match of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 10th National Cricket League at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Ruhul Amin Stadium in Chittagong Monday, UNB reports.
Resuming their first innings on the second day Monday with overnight 52 for 1 in 20 overs, hosts Chittagong Division were all out for 198 in 73 overs .
Yasin Arafat top scored 34 runs off 62 balls with a four while Tariq Ahmed made 25 off 59 balls with three fours.
Nightwatch batsman Nafis Iqbal (22), Nadim Uddin (23), Tareq Aziz (21) and Kamrul Islam (13) were the other notable scorers for Chittagong Division.
Talha Jubair, Tariqul Islam and Saju Dutta grabbed two wickets each for 33, 36 and 39 runs respectively.
In reply, Barisal Division, in their second innings, scored 93 runs in 33 overs for the loss of two wickets at stumps on the day.
In another match, hosts Khulna Division were in the driving seat as they took a massive 320-run lead against Dhaka Division at the Bir Shreshtha Matiur Rahman Stadium in Khulna.
Resuming on the second day Monday with over night 38 for 2 in eight overs, Dhaka Division declared their first innings scoring 181 runs for nine wickets in 54.1 overs.
Nightwatch batsman and national skipper Mohammad Ashraful top scored 37 runs off 49 balls with four fours while another night watch batsman Anamul Huq made 27 off 45 balls with five fours.
Arafat Sunny (32), Mahmudullah (23) and Nadif Chowdhury (22) were the notable scorers for Dhaka Division.
Ziaur Rahman and Dollar Mahmud claimed three wickets each for 33 and 51 runs respectively while Sakib Al Hasan took two wickets for 10 runs.
In reply, Khulna Division, in their second innings, scored 146 runs in 30 overs for the loss of five wickets at stumps on the day.
In the day's other match at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, hosts Rajshahi resumed their first innings with overnight 56 for 5 in 30.3 overs and were all out for 264 in 90.3 overs against Sylhet Division.
Nightwatch batsman Naeem Islam's half century and another night watch batsman Anisur Rahman's useful knock stretched the hosts to a comfortable position. Naeem scored a patient 87 runs off 207 balls with 12 fours while Anisur made 44 off 66 balls with seven fours.
Sabbir Rahman (32) and Delwar Hossain (not out 22) were the other notable scorers for the hosts.
