Barisal take overall 330-run lead over Dhaka

Barisal Division took an overall 330-run lead over Dhaka Division on the 3rd day of the 2nd phase of the 12th National Cricket League at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra Monday, reports UNB. Barisal Division, which posted 438 runs in the 1st innings, opened their 2nd innings Monday and scored 115 for 2 in 34 overs at stumps on the day, after dismissing Dhaka Division for 223 in the 1st innings. Resuming the first innings with over night 50 for 3, Dhaka Division were forced to fold their innings adding only 173 runs with the remaining seven wickets against excellent bowling by Sohag Gazi and Towhidul Islam. Two night watch batsmen - Marshall Ayub (12) and Mehdi Hasan (8) - added only two and five runs respectively while lower order Mosharaf Hossain scored team highest 68 runs off 134 balls with eight fours and two sixes.
