Barkattullah Electro Dynamics Limited (BEDL), a private sector power generation company made debut in the two bourses of the country yesterday (Thursday). Against the face value of Tk 10, each share of BEDL was traded in between Tk 71-73 in the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) at the opening day of trading. On the other hand, each BEDL share was traded in between Tk 72.30-85 at the Chittagong Stock Exchange. With the listing, BEDL became the 12th power & energy sector listed company in the DSE. The total paid up capital of the BEDL is Tk 860 million. Among them 23.26 per cent share owned by the public, Institute own 31.97 per cent and sponsor owned the rest 44.77 per cent share of the company.
