Barrister Ishtiaq's death anniv today

The 10th death anniversary of late Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, a prominent lawyer and former adviser to the caretaker government, will be observed today (Friday), according to a press release.
Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Smriti Parishad has arranged different programmes on the occasion.
These include placing wreath at his grave at Banani and offering munajat. A Milad Mahfil will be held at an orphanage.
Barrister Ishtiaq Ahmed made immense contribution to the legal arena of Bangladesh and acted as an Attorney General for Bangladesh and an Adviser to the Caretaker Government in 1996 and 2001.
He also made great contribution towards the democratic movement in Bangladesh, the release added.
