Barsha Utsab at Charukala today

A colourful programme `Barsha Utsab', to celebrate the advent of Bangla rainy season Asharh, will be held at `Bakultala' in Charukala, Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University (DU), on the first day of the month today, reports BSS.
Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Gosthi will organise the programme. The programme will begin at 7.00 am and continue until 11 am.
The artists of Udichi, Chhayanaut, Sur Tirtha, Sangit Bhaban, Padatik Sangeet Sangsad, Dhrubatan and different dance groups will perform at the programme including the renowned singers- Shahin Samad, Mita Haque, Ferdous Ara, Shama Rahman, Bipul Bhattachariya, Bulbul Islam.
Celebrated performers Afroza Banu, Mahidul Islam, Hasan Arif will recite poems at the function.
