Barua for bringing film industry under industrial sector

Industries Minister Dilip Barua Saturday said the government would help flourish the film industry by bringing it under the industrial sector with required facilities, reports UNB.
"We'll take initiatives to bring the film industry under the industrial sector to ensure its healthy growth," he told a function marking the start of shooting of a new Bangla movie, 'Padmaparer Parboti', at Bat Tola in the city.
Film director Rafique Sikder, actor Pijush Bandapadhaya, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Pran Gopal Datta and Bangladesh Tariff Commission Chairman Dr M Mujibur Rahman also spoke on the occasion.
Mr Barua said the entrepreneurs would feel encouraged to invest in the film industry once it is brought under the industrial sector.
