Bashir Ahmed passes away

Renowned singer Bashir Ahmed is no more. The popular singer died from cancer at his house at Mohammadpur in the city on Saturday night at the age of 74. Family sources said he had long been suffering from cancer. His condition turned from bad to worse recently and he breathed his last around 10:00pm at his own house. His Namaj-e-Janaza will be held at Jahuri Masjid (mosque) before Zohr prayers on Sunday and he will be buried at Mohammadpur’s Salimullah Road graveyard in the afternoon, according to a news agency.
