Bata sponsor for Nat'l cricket teams' jersey

Bata Shoe Company (BD) Ltd has become the official sponsor for the jersey of national cricket teams for the next three years, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) signed a contract to this effect with the multinational company Bata at a simple ceremony at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium Thursday.
BCB acting CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury and Bata managing director (Bangladesh) J Douglas Hearns signed the contract for their respective sides.
Bata gave BCB US$ 225,000 (approx. Tk 1.57 crore) for the right to sponsor jersey of the national cricket teams from January 2009 to December 2011.
As per the contract, Bata will also have the option to use three logos in the jerseys of national cricket team, national women cricket team, Bangladesh A team and BCB-GP national cricket team.
Besides, Bata will have the right to place two parameter boards in the field during any international match.
