FE Report
Tracing the history and evolution of the bathtubs can be quite interesting.>From time immemorial bathing in tubs has been considered more than cleansing the body. Ancient healers used tubs to reduce the symptoms of illness and pain induced by drugs.
Most bathtubs are made of acrylic or fibreglass. But more companies have started introducing new concepts blending ancient systems. Porcelain-coated steel and wood finish bathtubs are also available nowadays in the market.
Earlier bathtubs were made of galvanised steel or porcelain over cast iron. And they were usually rectangular in shape.
Now shape is no more a problem. Acrylic thermoformed baths have helped suit the taste of individuals. Likewise, bathtubs of any colour are available in the market along with traditional white and ivory colours. Imported bathtubs and whirlpools have become common in the country.
Most dealers in sanitary and plumbing wares have introduced novel products from global markets. Golf bathing systems, designed by Italian architect M. Gorcee, is one such on sale.
The massage bathtubs have classic Italian design and modern features. These ergonomically designed whirlpool systems have FM Radio, CD compatible speaker, three-way hand shower, designer diverter, tub filler, waterproof computerised panel, full feature remote control and water level sensor, underwater light, Ozonizer filtration system, deluxe ceramic rush pith valve, pillow, hand rail, hand rod and pop-up drain.
Golf spa has chair-type seating arrangements for seven. The model has super jet nozzles, pressure regulators, pneumatic switches, high capacity Jacuzzi pumps and medicine treatment plant.
Over 100 years ago, Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company and Kohler Company started producing cast-iron bathtubs. The claw foot tubs were then advertised as horse troughs.
Today, Kohler offers products combing innovative techniques and timeless design. The company gives different options for different materials such as cast iron and acrylic.
Every Kohler cast iron whirlpool creates unique designs. Kholer flex jets are made from durable materials and are adjustable and user-friendly. The air-to-water mixture and velocity can be independently adjusted by rotating the outer ring of the rim.
Another feature is direct hydro-massage to all muscle groups. It can be done by simply rotating the ball of the rim. Kohler whirlpools have special ports to generate champagne-like bubbles for clinging to and caressing the skin.
