BB announces monetary policy on Jan 19

Bangladesh Bank (BB) will announce the monetary policy for the second half of the current (2009-'10) fiscal on January 19. The central bank has already finalised the half-yearly policy after discussions with different groups including economists, business leaders and some former governors, a BB official said. BB Governor Atiur Rahman will announce the monetary policy at a programme at the central bank's headquarters. — BSS
