BB clarifies gross weight criteria for frozen fish export subsidies

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has clarified the calculation process for cash assistance or export subsidies provided against the export of frozen shrimp and other fish, reports BSS.
"The 'Gross Weight' will be understood to mean the weight of the fish including the glaze," said a BB circular issued on Monday.
This clarification is intended to ensure precision in calculating the cash assistance payment, the circular added.
All concerned parties involved in the export and payment process have been advised to take note of this clarification.
The move is part of the government's effort to streamline the calculation of financial support provided to exporters of these vital commodities.
