BB gets new GM

Kazi Sayedur Rahman has been promoted to General Manager of Bangladesh Bank (BB) and posted in the Department of Forex Reserve & Treasury Management. Prior to this promotion, he worked in the same department as deputy general manager. Mr Rahman obtained B.Com (Hons.) and Masters in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. He joined Bangladesh Bank as assistant director in 1988. Mr Rahman served in various important departments of the bank, said a press release. In his long career, Mr Rahman visited USA, Canada, Switzerland and Singapore to participate in seminar and workshop related to Forex reserve management. He also visited India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Bhutan to accomplish official duties.
