BB, IIFC renew technical contract for IPFF project

Investment Promotion and Financing Facility (IPFF) Cell of Bangladesh Bank has renewed its Technical Service Agreement (TSA) with Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Center (IIFC) for implementing the Investment Promotion Financing Facility (IPFF) project.
IIFC was engaged as the technical advisor for this project. IPFF Cell renewed the contract with IIFC Sunday for another twenty-seven months.
The government adopted IPFF project to promote and finance Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
This is the World Bank project being implemented by Bangladesh Bank where IIFC acts as the technical advisor. The facility has provisions for lending to PPP projects and for technical assistance in awareness creation and capacity building on PPP.
IPFF provides support both to Bangladesh Bank and Board of Investment (BoI) under this project.
The IPFF window has been very successful in leading to several power projects carried out under PPP.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and IPFF Cell Project Director Abul Quasem and IIFC Executivwe Director-cum-CEO Nazrul Islam were present at the signing ceremony.
High officials from IIFC, Bangladesh Bank and BoI were also present on the occasion, according to an IIFC press release.
