Bangladesh Bank (BB) introduced Access Control System Thursday to monitor entry of its staff and visitors under a computerised programme. "The system will monitor and record the entry of BB's staff besides enhancing security of the central bank by controlling visitors' access to the country's Key Installation Point," Governor of BB Dr Atiur Rahman said after launching the computerised access system. Initially, the system will be used to monitor and record access of its staff and visitors to the main building and the annex 30-storey building of the central bank's headquarters in Dhaka. "This system will be introduced in all the 130 access doors of the central bank's head office in phases," the governor said. — BSS
