BB nominated member of AFI Steering Committee

Bangladesh Bank has been nominated as the member of the Steering Committee of Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) in its Global Policy Forum (GPF) meeting held recently in Trinidad and Tobago. Bangladesh was recommended by the Central Bank of Philippines and was fully supported by the Steering Committee. Bangladesh Bank will represent the Asian Region in the Steering Committee. It may be noted that Bangladesh Bank was recently given AFI Policy Award for its contribution in providing enabling policy guidelines for fast expanding mobile financial services in Bangladesh, said a statement.
