BB officials achieve AAP certificate

Chowdhury Mohidul Haque, general manager, Department of Currency Management and Payment Systems of Bangladesh Bank and seven others of the same department received Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certificate from the Payments University, USA.
29 officials of the bank sat for this professional examination held on November 29 in the city, says a press release.
This prestigious professional certificate is recognised by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), USA.
The central bank has been working for the last two years to modernise its payment systems and implement Automated Cheque Clearing House and Electronic Fund Transfer Network, under Remittance and Payment Partnership (RPP) project with a grant fund from the DFID of UK.
The officials are the members of the core working group responsible for implementing this upgrading initiative.
