BB Rangpur starts auto clearing house

Our Correspondent RANGPUR, Oct 25: Automated clearing house of Bangladesh Bank (BB) Rangpur has been launched here on Monday for faster settlement of transactions and payment systems as part of its move to digitalise the banking system. Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Md. Abul Kashem formally inaugurated it as the chief guest. Acting General Manager of Bangladesh Bank Rangpur Branch, Nur-un-Nahar presided over the inauguration function while Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Dasgupta Ashim Kumar addressed the ceremony as special guest. "We moved one step ahead of many other countries by introducing this system," said BB Deputy Governor Abdul Kashem. The speakers said that the system is expected to reduce the settlement time significantly and the customers will get faster and secured service through this modern banking system. Our Bogra Correspondent adds: Bangladesh Bank automated clearing house activities began today in Bogra region, opened by Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Md. Abul Kashem and Executive director of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Dasgupta Asim Kumar. From now the banks will enjoy easy access and advantages of clearing house of Dhaka under Bangladesh Bank from Bogra online.
