BB relaxes reporting guidelines
Bankers' in-house training on ISS
FE REPORT | Wednesday, 21 September 2022
The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has relaxed the Guidelines for In-house Training on ISS (integrated supervision system) Reporting, lifting the mandatory provision of submitting yearly update to its department concerned.
Issuing a circular, the central bank on Tuesday stated that the scheduled banks would not need to submit the reports of their officers' in-house trainings to its Integrated Supervision Management Department (ISMD).
Citing the previous circular regarding the matter - issued on 07 September 2020, it said the banks were asked to submit hardcopy and softcopy reports of yearly in-house trainings of their officers to the ISMD within January 20.
"Now, there is no need to submit hardcopy and softcopy regarding in-house trainings of the bank officers to the ISMD," it said.
But the circular, signed by ISMD director Mohammad Selim, stated that the banks would have to continue such training activities of their officers, working at the headquarters and branches, at their own initiative.
