BB to announce farm credit policy Monday

Bangladesh Bank (BB) will announce the agriculture and rural credit policy for the 2014-15 financial year (FY15) Monday. BB governor Dr Atiur Rahman will announce the credit policy at 2pm at the central bank's headquarters in the capital. Like previous years, the central bank would keep focusing on driving agriculture growth with providing farmers necessary financial support from institutional sources. The agriculture credit policy would also have special attention to the measures aiming at protecting farmers from the adverse impact of climate change, according to a news agency.
