BB to fund $19.23m to improve internet network

Bangladesh Bank (BB) will give $19.23 million loan to help improve further the nation-wide internet network. The fund is being provided to a leading internet network provider Fiber@Home Ltd under the BB's Investment Promotion and Financing Facility (IPFF) project, supported by the International Development Association (IDA). The central bank will sign an agreement with the private company on Tuesday at a programme at Hotel Westin. "This project will have significant impact in achieving the vision of the Digital Bangladesh," the BB said in a statement on Monday, according to a news agency.
