BB to introduce Automated Clearing House

Bangladesh Bank (BB) will introduce Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH) with two wings -- Bangladesh Automated Cheque Processing System (BACPS) and Bangladesh Electronic Fund Transfer Network (BEFTN).
In this connection the BB organised a workshop on 'Bangladesh Automated Clearing House Implementation' at the Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) head office in the city recently, said a press release.
BB General Manager (Currency Management and Payment System) Chowdhury Mohidul Haque elaborately discussed BACPS and BEFTN as well as other related issues.
Also present on the occasion were BB General Manager (Banking Inspection-2) Md Harunur Rashid Chowdhury, SJIBL Managing Director Muhammad Ali, SJIBL Deputy Managing Director Md Jillur Rahman and its head of IT and BACH Programme Manager Md Ziaullah Khan.
