BB withdraws observer from Premier Bank

Bangladesh Bank has withdrawn its observer deputed at Premier Bank after the latter rescinded the appointments of Sheikh Nadir Hossain and Syed Rana Mustafi as advisers to the bank. The central bank informed its decision to withdraw the observer through a letter sent Tuesday to the Premier Bank. The letter said that the commercial bank had assured the central bank that it would not do anything in future, which is not acceptable to the regulatory authority. — FE Report
