B\\\'Baria HILIP-LGED holds progressive exchange visit function

BRAHMANBARIA, May 16: Haor Infrastructure and Livelihood Improvement Project (HILIP) under Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) arranged a function of progressive exchange visit and knowledge sharing at Bogdohor village of Nabinagar upazila in Brahmanbaria Thursday.
Country Programme Manager for IFAD Boirard Hubert, chain specialist Nicolas Syed, climate change adaption specialist Ms Paxina Chileshe, monitoring & evaluation- knowledge management- targetting specialist Wanaporn Yangyuer, Infrastructure specialist Professor Dr Shamsul Hoque, fisheries & natural resource management specialist Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam, project director Gopal Chandra Sarker, deputy project director Md Kamrul Islam, Livelihood & Training Specialist Birendra Lal Roy, LGED Executive Engineer Md Shakhwat Hossain, district project coordinator for HILIP Md Arman Rashid, LGED senior assistant engineer Md Mamun Khan and Nabinagar Upazila Project coordinator Md Omar Faroque visited the HILIP-LGED area at Bogdohor of Nabinagar upazila in Brahmanbaria.
They visited ladies finger cultivation, latiraj kachu cultivation, duck rearing, pond fisheries with polyculture, Sonali Chick rearing, mixed fruit garden at Bogdohor of Nabinagar upazila.
HILIP-LGED distributed the profit amounting of Tk 1,77,844 for road construction among 20 members of Labour Contracting Society (LCS) at the premises of Bogdohor primary school of Nabinagar upazila that day.
In the first phase, HILIP-LGED has constructed 1120 metre of CC block road in March 2013 from Bogdohor paved road. constructed.
