B'baria trade fair begins

BRAHMANBARIA, Mar 18: The month-long Brahmanbaria Industry and Trade Fair (BITF)-08 began on Anando High School Boarding Math (field) in the town recently.
Brahmanbaria Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) organised the trade fair.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Md Abdul Hai inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.
BCCI President Md Farid Uddin presided over the inaugural function and BCCI Senior Vice President Azizul Hoque presented the welcome address.
Brahmanbaria Municipality Chairman Hafizur Rahman Molla Kochi, Anando Government High School Assistant Head Master Md Abdul Kader were also present as the special guests.
Different goods are attractively displayed in 90 pavilions and stalls. The locally manufactured bamboo, cane and jute based cottage industry products, weaving products like handloom sari, bed-sheet, towel, napkin and khadi cloth, footwear, leather products, food items, sewing and garment products, cosmetics, ornaments, crockery, wooden furniture and all sorts of home decoration items are available in the fair.
