BCB announces women's squad for Ireland ODIs

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member squad for the home series against Ireland, reports BSS.
Pacer Jahanara Alam and Sharmin Akter were recalled to the team for ODI format after a year hiatus.
Jahanara last played an ODI match in May, 2023 while Sharmin's last game in this format was in July last year.
The squad featured few changes with Taj Nehar and Sanjida Akhter Meghla earning maiden ODI call-ups.
Disha Bishwas, Sumaiya Akter, Nishita Akhter, and Farzana Haque Lisa were left out of the ODI setup. The Irish Women's team will arrive in Dhaka on November 22 for three ODIs and as many T20Is as part of the ICC FTP programme.
The three ODIs will be played in Mirpur on November 27, November 30 and December 2, while the T20Is will take place in Sylhet on December 5, 7 and 9.

On the other hand, the BCB on Tuesday also announced the Under-17 team for Sri Lanka tour.
The youngsters of Bangladesh will play three one-day matches and two three-day matches in the tour from November 21 to December 9.
After reaching Sri Lanka today (Wednesday), Bangladesh will have two-day practice session before they take on their Sri Lanka counterpart for the first one-day match on November 24. The next two one-day matches will be held on November 26 and 28 respectively.
The first three-day match is from December 1-3 while the second match will be held from December 6-8.
The team will depart from Sri Lanka on December 9.
