Thursday, 22 December 2011
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in an emergency board meeting Wednesday unanimously approved the name of AHM Mustafa Kamal as its nominee for ICC (International Cricket Council) president, reports BSS.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also confirmed Saturday reaffirming support for Bangladesh Cricket Board President Mustafa Kamal as sole candidate for ICC's Presidency.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials comprising M Zaka Ashraf, Chairman and Subhan Ahmad, COO, met Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) members in their Dhaka office at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
In the meeting between the two boards the nomination for ICC President was also discussed. As per ICC's rotation policy, it is PCB and BCB's turn to jointly nominate a president. The nominated president will assume office as ICC's vice president at the end of ICC's annual conference in 2012 and will thereafter become ICC president in 2014.
