BCB distribute trophies to NCL, Dhaka League teams

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Tuesday distributed trophies and cash prizes among the champion and runners-up teams of the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 9th National Cricket and Dhaka Metropolis Cricket Leagues 2007-2008, reports UNB.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at the Winter Garden of Dhaka Sheraton Hotel with BCB president Maj Gen Sina Ibn Jamali as chief guest.
BCB cricket operations committee chairman Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, CCDM and tournament committee chairman Engr Ghulam Mohammad Alomgir were, among others, present on the occasion.
In the NCL four-dayers, champions Khulna Division received a cheque for TK. 1.0 million (10 lakh), while runners-up Rajshahi Division received Tk 500,000. Third-placed Dhaka Division got Tk 300,000.
Besides, left-arm spinner Musharraf Hossain Rubel of Dhaka Division was awarded Tk 20,000 for taking most wickets in the four-dayers, while Nazimuddin of Chittagong Division also received Tk 20,000 as the highest run scorer.
In the NCL one-dayers, champions Rajshahi Division received Tk 400,000 while runners up Dhaka Division Tk 200,000. Besides, Tariqul Islam of Barisal Division and Imrul Kayes of Khulna Division received Tk 20,000 each for being the highest wicket taker and highest run scorer respectively.
In other awards, Khulna Division southpaw Imrul Kayes was adjudged the player of the tournament to receive Tk 40,000, while Musharraf Rubel of Dhaka Division received Tk 30,000 as the best all rounder. Raqibul Hasan of Barisal Division got Tk 20,000 as the best fielder.
Meanwhile, the champion and runners-up teams of the Metropolis Premier Division, First Division, Second Division and Third Division teams also received their trophies at the function.
