BCB president hands over cheque to nat'l women's cricket team members

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Sina Ibn Jamali Thursday handed over cheques for Tk 50,000 to each of the members and officials of the national women's cricket team, which emerged champions in the ACC Women's Tournament held in Malaysia in July, reports UNB.
The BCB boss handed over the cheques and certificates at a prize giving ceremony at the Navana Tower Apartment Community Space in the afternoon.
After handing over the cheques, Sina Ibn Jamali congratulated the national women's cricket team for their success. "It's a great achievement for the Bangladesh National Women's Cricket Team. I want to thank everyone related with this success. I wish them further success in the future," he said.
Later, talking to the reporters, the BCB boss said, "Our main target is the development of Bangladesh cricket and also to work maintaining transparency. We want to prove what the present committee of BCB can do."
BCB ad-hoc executive committee members and women's wing chairperson Monwara Anis Khan, finance committee chairman M Abdul Momen, chief executive officer Mahmudur Rahman, Grameenphone's Head of market communications Mir Nawbat Ali and member secretary of women's wing Nazma Shamim were, among others, present on the occasion.
