BCB reiterates its stand on Test rights

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has made it clear that it would not endorse any proposal that compromises Bangladesh’s full member rights in terms of status and participation. The BCB made its stance clear during a discussion on Tuesday on a draft position paper put forward by a working group of the Finance & Commercial Affairs committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The paper seeks considerable structural changes to the ICC and its governance, future tours programme and Test cricket. Speaking from Dubai, the BCB acting chief executive officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said: “We’ve communicated to the ICC Board members that the BCB will not endorse any proposal that compromises Bangladesh’s full member rights in terms of status and participation.” He continued: “Bangladesh was the only full member nation to take a stand on this issue,” according to a news agency.
