BCB XI lead by 124 runs against Chhattisgarh

Touring Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI took a 124 runs lead against the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (SCS) on the 2nd day of the four-day semifinal of the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappaiah Memorial Cricket Tournament at Alur-1 (Platinum Oval) ground in Bengaluru on Monday, reports UNB.
Resuming the first innings with overnight total of 254 for 3 on the 2nd day, BCB XI were dismissed for 334 in 111.5 overs, featuring three half centuries by Jahurul Islam, Saif Hasan and Yasir Ali Chowdhury.
Jahurul Islam added 60 off 134 balls hitting 7 fours, Saif Hasan scored 92 off 172 balls smashing 6 fours and 5 sixes. Night-watchman Yasir Ali Chowdhury (50) scored 62 off 134 deliveries, hitting 7 fours.
For Chhattisgarh SCS, Veerpratap Singh claimed four wickets for 92, Binny Samuel bagged 3 for 51 and Shashank picked 2 for 44.
In reply, Chhattisgarh SCS opened their first innings in the afternoon and scored 210 for 4 in 59.1 overs before the bails were drawn for the 2nd day, featuring 105-run in the 4th wicket stand by opener Rishabh Tiwari and number five batsman Shashank.
Rishabh knocked 100 off 192 balls hitting 10 fours. Shashank remained unbeaten on 54 off 91 balls hitting 6 fours and one six.
Saif Hasan picked up 2 for 24 runs while Sanjamul Islam bagged 1 conceding 66 runs for the touring BCB XI.
