BCC Mayor Sarwar taken on 7-day remand

BARISAL, Aug 26 (BSS): Barisal City Corporation (BCC) Mayor Mazibar Rahman Sarwar, accused in a murder case, was taken on a seven-day remand Sunday. Court sources said investigating officer (IO) Mir Kashem placed a prayer for a seven-day remand before the court of first class magistrate Munim Hasan in the morning.
After hearing both the sides, the court granted the remand.
Mazibar Rahman Sarwar is an accused in the Terra Shahjahan murder case, who was murdered on September 16 in 2003 at Nabagram Road of Barisal city, the sources added.
