BCCCI leads business delegation to China-South Asia Expo

A 23-member business delegation, led by Mohd. Khorshed Alam, President of the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI), participated in the 10th China-South Asia Expo and the 30th China Kunming Import and Export Fair 2026, held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, from June 11 to 16.
As Bangladesh participated in the expo as the theme country, six companies joined through the BCCCI, namely Amanat Shah Group, Techno Drugs Ltd., Akij Food & Beverage Ltd, Ayman Agro Ltd, MM Trade and BCCCI, says a press release.
More than 100 Bangladeshi companies also showcased their products at the Bangladesh Country Pavilion under the coordination of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Kunming.
On June 11, during the expo BCCCI signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Chinese institutions aimed at strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
The first MoU was signed with Bank of Huzhou Co., Ltd. to promote banking cooperation and facilitate RMB-based trade transactions.
The second MoU was signed with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) during the International public Procurement Conference for the South Asian Marker.
On June 12, the delegation participated in the Opening Ceremony of Bangladesh Day organised with the support of the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Kunming. Speaking on behalf of the BCCCI President, Vice President Mohammad Masud Ali Khan addressed the forum, while Adviser to the President, Faizul Alam, delivered a presentation.
The delegation also attended an official dinner hosted by the Consulate General, where Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Minister of Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Jute, Barrister Kayser Kamal, Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, senior government officials, Chinese investors and business leaders were present.
