BCL attack kills JCD man

An activist of Jatiytabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was killed in an attack allegedly by the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College on Wednesday evening. The deceased was identified as Towhidul Islam, a 4th year MBBS student of the medical college and an inmate of Abu Sina Hall. Witnesses said a group of BCL men swooped on Towhidul in his dormitory room around 7pm and hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him severely injured. He was rushed to Osmani Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where doctors declared him dead around 8:35pm, according to a news agency.
