BCL expels its 4 DU leaders

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the associate student body of the ruling Awami League, on Saturday expelled four of its leaders for their involvement in anti-organisational activities. The expelled BCL leaders are deputy sports affairs secretary of central committee Sujon Ghose Sajib, Jagannath Hall unit vice-president Anupom Chandra, Mohsin Hall unit student affairs secretary Sheikh Abdullah Al Mamun and activist Himel. Police on Friday rescued Farhad Islam, a businessman from Jagannath Hall of the university, 15 hours after he was picked up form capital’s Fakirapul area. Police have arrested seven people, including six Dhaka University students, for their alleged involvement in abducting Farhad, according to UNB.
