BCL gen secy at JnU suspended

The general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s (BCL) Jagannath University (JnU) unit has been suspended for breach of discipline. Joint General Secretary Mofizul Islam Shishir will stand in for him, the ruling Awami League’s student front said in a statement on Tuesday. Earlier on Thursday, SM Sirajul Islam along with his followers had snatched a tender from a teacher by pulling a gun on him. He had later been suspended from the university and is now facing a case over the incident with Kotwali Police Station in the city. JnU BCL Organising Secretary Mehedi Hasan and Assistant Secretary Mobarak Rishad were also suspended for breach of the organisation’s discipline on Tuesday, according to bdnews24.com.
