BCL leader among 3 held for possessing Phensidyl

Police have arrested three persons, including a local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), for possessing contraband Phensidyl syrup at Debhata upazila of Satkhira district. They are Zakir Hossain, 25, general secretary of Kaliganj upazila unit of BCL and son of Jinnat Ali, Mostafizur Rahman, 24, son of Sheikh Sarwar, and Obaidul Rahman, 26, son of Abdul Gafur of Bazargram village of Debhata upazila. Jakaria, sub-inspector of Debhata Police Station, said a police patrol team arrested them while they were drinking Phensidyl on Friday evening. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
