BCL leader killed in bike crash

A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Daadghar area of Monaharganj upazila in Comilla on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Shahidullah Khan Sabuj, 32, president of Monaharganj upazila unit of BCL and resident of Dumuria village of the upazila. Witnesses said the accident took place when a motorcycle carrying Sabuj collided head-on with another motorcycle while he was  returning to the upazila headquarters from UP election campaign in the area around 7:30pm, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to Laksham upazila health complex and then to a private hospital in the city where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:30pm, according to UNB.
