BCL leader shot at DU

A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader was injured receiving a shot reportedly from his own-carried firearm on the Dhaka University campus on Saturday.
The injured was identified as Maskat Hossan, training affairs deputy secretary of the central executive committee of the student wing of the ruling Awami League.
According to eyewitnesses and his close associates, Maskat was injured as he received a bullet inadvertently from a firearm kept in his pocket while he was staying in front of Surja Sen Hall.
They heard the sound of gunshot and saw blood coming out from Maskat's thigh.
At that time, they also noticed Maskat shifting the gun from one pocket to another. He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
DU Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani said, "I have heard of the incident and house tutors of Surja Sen hall went to DMCH shortly after the incident. We could give the details of the matter after proper investigation."
