BCL men attack newspaper office

SYLHET, Oct 7 (UNB): Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists attacked local daily Shyamol Sylhet office at Miarbazar in the city Tuesday night.
They also damaged six motorcycles and attempted to set them ablaze.
The hooligans armed with sticks and rods could not enter the office as employees quickly closed the gate.
Journalists of the daily said about 25 armed BCL cadres led by Devangshu Das Mithu and Pankaj Prukayasth of Sylhet Government College attacked the office at about 8.00pm.
Community of journalists strongly protested the attack and demanded punishment to the culprits.
