BCL men killed in Sylhet

SYLHET, Oct 24 (UNB): Body of a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader was recovered from beside Maijgaon bazar rail line under Fenchuganj Upazila Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shamim Ahmed (26), son of late Mofiz Ali of village Purangaon Fulbari and also joint secretary of Fenchuganj Upazila BCL unit.
Family sources said Shamim went to nearby Maijgaon Bazar from his house Friday evening and did not return home at night.
Local people found the body at about 10am beside the rail line and informed the police.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the body that bore several injury marks and sent it to the Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately. A case was filed.
