BCL rivals trade gunfire at CU

CHITTAGONG, Feb 15 (UNB/bdnews24.com): Two factions of ruling Awami League's student front Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have clashed on the Chittagong University (CU) campus, barely two months after their feud left a student dead.
However, none was hurt in the clash. Witnesses said members of Choose Friend with Care (CFC) group and Varsity Express (VEx) group, two rival factions of the CU unit BCL, locked in the clash at Shahjalal Hall when members of the VX group entered the hall in the morning.
The trading of gunshots was followed by chase and counter-chase between the two groups.
Police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
A tense situation was prevailing on the campus following the incident.
