BCL suspends its 4 RU leaders

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) suspended Tuesday four of its Rajshahi University (RU) unit leaders for their involvement in the attack on an examination centre.
The suspended BCL leaders are RU unit vice-presidents Mehedi Hasan and Rana Chowdhury, joint secretary Mahbubur Rahman Palash and environment affairs secretary Mostakim Billah.
The central committee of the ruling party’s student wing took the decision at an emergency meeting Tuesday night, said a press release signed by BCL office secretary Sheikh Rasel, according to a news agency.
BCL central committee also urged the law enforcers and the university authorities to take legal action against the suspended BCL leaders.
