BCLT students threaten fast-unto-death

Students of the city's Bangladesh College of Leather Technology (BCLT) threatened Monday to go for fast-unto-death at the Central Shaheed Minar unless their demands are met immediately.
The BCLT students at a press conference at Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) placed their six-point demand including providing degrees under the DU Engineering and Technology Faculty, a separate administration, and holding examinations in time.
The students also asked the university authorities to reopen the college at the earliest.
The college, affiliated with DU, was closed sine die Saturday following a clash between its students and police.
