BCS preliminary test format changed

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has changed the format of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations. From now on, the BCS preliminary tests will be two-hour-long, 200-mark MCQ exams. Pass marks for the viva-voce have been raised by 10 per cent to 50 per cent but the marks needed to clear the written tests have remained unchanged at 50 per cent. The Commission published a gazette to this end on Sunday.
