BD A win 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe A

Bangladesh A team won the three-match unofficial ODI series 2-1 beating Zimbabwe A by 13 runs in the 3rd and last match at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah Wednesday, reports UNB.
Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh scored 239 runs for all in stipulated 50 overs with skipper Marshal Ayub making the team's highest 57 runs off 78 balls with six fours.
Bangladesh started well as Soumya Sarker (22) and Liton Kumar Das (46) in the opening stand took the team total to 50 runs in 7.5 overs before Soumya Sarker parted ways.
Marshal Ayub came to bat at one down, but number 3 and number 4 batsmen Mominul Haque (6) and Naeem Islam (9) both failed to stay with him.
In the 5th wicket stand, Marshal Ayub pairing with number six Mosaddek Hossain (25) contributed 54 runs in 10.1 overs, to carry the team total to 170 for 5 in 37.5 overs.
Forhad Reza (32) and Nurul Hassan (19) were the other notable scorers for Bangladesh.
Taurai Muzarabani claimed four wickets for 33 runs in 7 overs, Tafadzwa Kamungozi grabbed two wickets for 35 runs while Luke Jongwe and Malcolm Waller took one wicket each for 36 and 43 runs respectively.
Chasing 240 runs, Zimbabwe scored 208 runs losing 9 wickets in 50 overs.
Number six batsman Malcolm Waller scored team highest 52 runs off 77 balls with four fours and a six while skipper Vusimuzi Sibanda (37), Luke Jongwe (not out 35), opener Brian Chari (28), Tafadzwa Kamungozi (not out 17) and Wellington Masakadza (15) were the other double digit scorers for the visiting side.
Mominul Haque and Elias Sunny grabbed three wickets each for 36 and 53 runs respectively.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to visiting Zimbabwe by 17 runs in the first match Sunday (Sept 28) while won the 2nd match by six wickets under D/L method Tuesday (Sept 30) in the ODI series, at the same venue.
