BD-based JICA chief visits Dhaka WASA office

Bangladesh-based chief representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hayakawa Yuho visited the Dhaka WASA on Tuesday, says a statement received on Wednesday.
Dhaka WASA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Taqsem A Khan welcomed him on his arrival at the Dhaka WASA office.
Later he was briefed about the achievements under the 'Turn Around, Dhaka WASA' programme. These include the smart water supply under the DMA (District Metered Area), the reduction of Dhaka WASA's system loss from 40 per cent to 20 per cent. The system loss is 5.0 per cent in the DMA area. It has achieved the capacity of supplying 2.60-2.65 billion litres of water against the demand for 2.45-2.50 billion litres.
